Custom Headquarters: Where Your Custom Jewelry Dreams Come True

It's a tale as old as time. Younger generations want to be different from the ones before them, and yet this generation also wants to be different from one another.

In a digital age where a click of a button can buy you what everyone else has, every social media video pushes must-haves and must-tries, and a single fashion trend lasts weeks instead of months—those who are coming of age alongside the technologies making all of this possible are craving individuality.

Now, you may be asking, how has this impacted the jewelry industry? We were wondering the same thing! One, this desire to be unique has contributed to a global shift towards personalized or entirely custom-made jewelry. And two, the rapidly advancing technological landscape has made the custom design process easier than ever before!

If you've ever had an itch to be part of the creative process and wear something you had a hand in designing, you've come to the right place! At Steven Singer Jewelers, we want to make your custom jewelry dreams come true!

Engravable Jewelry

The Heston Stainless Steel Curb Link ID Bracelet from the Steven Singer Jewelers website. The word engravable is visible to emphasize the personalization capabilities for this piece.

Engravings are one of the most popular ways to make a piece a little more personal and unique. And that's why they make especially thoughtful gifts!

You can find all our ready-to-engrave pieces on our website by looking for a red "engravable" label in the top-left corner of the product image.

For these items, you can choose between 3 selected fonts, and character space is limited based on the type of jewelry. We have rings, bracelets, and necklaces all ready for engraving! The website is great for simple customizations, like your child's name, your wedding date, or your partner's initials.

If you're looking for something a little more complex, our team of expert jewelers can work with you in-store or over the phone to create exactly what you have in mind! We have a collection of preset symbols and designs to choose from, but we can also convert any image into an engravable design.Three examples of engravable pieces. Two are on the underside of rings and one is a pendant.Want to use your mom's handwriting, an inspo image from Pinterest, or a portrait of a loved one? All we need is a picture, and we can create a mockup for your approval. After that, the laser engraver takes care of the rest!

Custom Design Pieces

Most custom design projects start as a collection of abstract ideas with sketches, pictures, or a combination of existing designs. Think of our expert jewelers as your personal fairy godmothers who can grant all of your jewelry wishes! The only difference is, unlike Cinderella, your dreams will come to life in 4-6 weeks (depending on the proposed design)

Diamond and Gemstone Selection

Maybe you're born in October and want to incorporate opals into your design, or you gravitate towards the striking shade of blue sapphires, or you love the way a pear-shaped diamond complements your finger. There's no doubt that the stones are the star of the show, so we want you to pick the ones that feel perfect to you. That is why we start our custom design process by selecting your favorite diamonds and gemstones. With the help of our expert staff, you'll be able to choose a stone that matches your desired size, color, clarity, and overall quality specifications.

CAD (Computer-Aided Design)

Now, let's get that design out of your head and into a digital 3D model! After you have outlined your ideal design, realistic renderings are drafted using CAD software. These renderings help you conceptualize your design and visualize any changes you would like to make. CADs can be revised as many times as you would like. We want you to love everything about the design!

Wax Model

Once the CAD rendering is perfected, we move on to the wax model. A 3D printing machine builds a wax replica layer by layer, ensuring every detail from the CAD rendering is captured. You can now hold a tangible product to assess proportions, thickness, and detail!

Casting

The wax model is then used to make an imprint in liquid plaster, and once that hardens, we place the plaster in a kiln to melt the wax model away. This leaves a hole in the shape of the design that is then filled with your metal of choice. After removing the shaped metal from the plaster, it needs a little TLC ASAP. That's when we clean, file, and remove any excess metal.

Stone Setting and Finishing

It is now time to set the selected stones! All settings are done by hand and require immense skill and precision. When the stones are in place, the jeweler will use a combination of compounds and polishing techniques to make that metal as reflective as a mirror! Six images reflect the different steps in the stone setting and finishing process.

AND VOILA! The finished product could look a little something like this:Final products of two diamond rings. One with rubies, sapphires and diamonds encircling the band with an oval center stone and one an engagement ring with a pear shaped center stone and two round brilliant diamonds at the pear diamond's sides.

Reputation for Quality and Service

Every piece that comes through our store is inspected under magnification to ensure that all stones are secure and that the metal is smooth and scratch-free. It is only after undergoing and passing multiple inspections that pieces are then ready for you to see!
